I give by all means that you know
what is Free Software. If it is not thus,
or if you think that is simply programs without cost , a look throws to
this link:
Lately has come speculating with the possibility of exporting the
concept from Free Software to other fields, like the Artistic
production, Music or
Literature. Against this background, in the field of the arqutectura
one has
struggled on which one has come in calling "Free Architecture".
In fact, the circumstances that surrounded the appearance by Free
Software were quite exceptional (and own of the field of software).
In spite of the good intentions, the export of the concept of Free
Software to
other sectors is very difficult, when non impossible. In order to make
specific, in the case of the graphs 3D, closed files do not exist
(in the
style of the binary ones in the computer programs). The files 3D can be
opened and be published if therefore it is desired. Really, the
restrictions to the liberties of the software users surpass by far to
the
applied ones on the user of any other product. The fight by Free
Sofware is first of all, a fight by the most basic rights of
users and developer of programs.
In my opinion, the "Free Architecture", like "Free Design", she is that
one that is developed in technological surroundings of freedom. That is
to say, when an Operating system is used, free programs and standards.
According to this opinion the "Free Architecture", she is that one
became in these conditions. The Acropolis of Athens in 3D is a work of
this type.
